Research points to huge wealth transfer on the horizon

As much as $38.2 trillion is expected to be transferred between generations from 2011 onwards, according to a study by Cerulli Associates, the US-based research group.

The money will shift from the "Silent Generation" to first-wave "Baby Boomers" between 2011 and 2035, said Cerulli.
