Reuters confirms Instinet sale talks

Reuters, the news and information group, today confirmed it was in advanced talks to sell Instinet, its electronic broking subsidiary, as it disclosed that the pace of lost subscription revenue had slowed to the lowest for three years.

Reuters, led by chief executive Tom Glocer, said it continued to hold talks over a $1.8bn (€1.4bn) sale of Instinet.
