Reuters pumps £230m into pension gap

Reuters, the UK-based news and information group, is set to pour £230m (€336.9m) into its UK pension funds over the next two years in a bid to wipe out almost 90% of its deficit.

The group is set to pay a cash sum of £188m into its two UK pension funds this year and a further £42m in 2007. This is in addition to its ordinary contributions.
