Revolut appoints revenue lead to run new special projects unit

The company has also been hiring for a new M&A team

Digital banking start-up Revolut has formed a new special projects unit to help it identify business opportunities, grow revenues and cut costs as it closes in on a $1bn-plus funding round.

It will be overseen by Alan Chang, an early employee of the company who rose through the ranks to be named Revolut’s first senior vice-president in charge of revenue generation at the start of the year.
