Fresh $55 million funding round takes the total raised by the US-based fintech group from strategic investors to almost $100 million

Distributed ledger startup Ripple has secured a new round of funding from a growing group of large strategic investors.

The company announced on September 15 that it had raised $55 million in investment from Standard Chartered, consultancy Accenture, Japanese financial group SBI Holdings and SCB Digital Ventures, the venture arm of Thai lender Siam Commercial Bank.
