RiskMetrics appoints ex-SEC Levitt to board

RiskMetrics, the financial risk management firm, has appointed the longest-serving chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the US regulator, to its board of directors.

Arthur Levitt, who was chairman of the SEC from 1993 to 2001, will become a non-executive director of the technology firm, which was spun out of JP Morgan in 1998.
