S&P downgrades BT for second time in a week

UK telecoms giant BT has suffered its second credit downgrade in under a week as Standard & Poor's moved to cut its long term investment grade ratings by one notch from A- to BBB+ with a stable outlook.

The move follows Fitch downgrading BT last week from A- to BBB+ largely due concern about prospects for the company's revenue and profit growth.
