NAPF fails to block remuneration report

J Sainsbury, the UK supermarket group, has survived a shareholder rebellion over executive pay despite a significant protest vote over a £2.3m ($4.3m) bonus awarded to ousted chairman Sir Peter Davis.

The board won the backing of 70% of institutional shareholders who voted by proxy before the annual general meeting
