Salomon snaps up former DLJ banker for M&A ideas

In a bid to build up its mergers and acquisitions capabilities Salomon Smith Barney has appointed an ex-Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette banker to help generate ideas.

Joseph Marren will be head of the US M&A business development group, which was set up to interact with the global M&A team to generate creative M&A ideas for clients worldwide. Marren's role is new.
