Sam Bankman-Fried to face trial in October after not guilty plea

FTX founder is accused of stealing billions of dollars in customer funds

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried pleaded not guilty to fraud and other criminal charges on 3 January, as a judge set his trial to begin on 2 October.

Bankman-Fried, 30 years old, entered his not guilty plea to all eight criminal counts he faces before US District Judge Lewis Kaplan in federal court in Manhattan. It was his second appearance in a US court after the collapse of his cryptocurrency exchange.
