Schroder loses £450m UK pensions mandate

The £2bn (€3.3bn) Essex County Council pension fund has switched to a scheme specific benchmark in a move that has seen Schroder Investment Management lose a £450m balanced mandate.

The pension scheme of the UK local authority decided to adopt a part specialist portfolio, appointing Legal & General Investment Management to run a £250m passive UK equity mandate.
