Schroder Ventures buys into French chemicals

Schroder Ventures, the private equity house, has continued buying in to the chemicals sector at a time when the industry is suffering from the economic downturn.

Schroder Ventures has acquired a majority stake in Group Arnaud, the French chemical distribution company, for a total consideration of €90m ($79m). Additional financing was provided by Interbanca, the Italian bank.
