Schroders eyes up Govett investment trust

Schroders is considering acquiring the £500m (€779.4m) Govett strategic investment trust after Govett Investment Management effectively placed the poorly performing fund into voluntary liquidation.

Schroders is to discuss with Govett's institutional shareholders possible methods of transferring assets to the £281m Schroder UK mid 250 unit trust fund. Both funds invest in small and medium-sized companies.
