Schroders, the UK investment house, has hired Paul Taylor from Merrill Lynch Investment Management to boost its property fund performance.

The arrival of Taylor follows the loss of John Hammond and Bill Hughes from Schroders' property team, who have all joined Deutsche Asset Management over the past year.
