Schroders’ wealth unit Benchmark adds Funk for growth

New chief investment officer charged with boosting discretionary funds business

Benchmark Capital, a digital wealth-management business majority owned by Schroders, has named a new chief investment officer, charged with driving growth in its discretionary funds.

Benchmark, which oversees around £20bn, has recruited Alex Funk from rival Premier Asset Management to lead its Fusion Wealth unit. This arm of the business offers other wealth managers off-the-shelf portfolios that Funk and the team will put together.
