Scottish Amicable brand disappears in Prudential reorganisation

The Scottish Amicable brand will cease to exist in a reorganisation by its owner, life insurer Prudential, reversing the original decision to build the brand name up and replacing it with a reliance solely on the Prudential brand name.

The multiple fund management product will retain its five current external fund managers, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, Newton, Schroder, Invesco-Perpetual and Phillips & Drew. They are offered to Scottish Amicable's customers alongside M&G, Prudential's own fund manager.
