Shearman & Sterling’s Europe and Middle East managing partner Ward McKimm has resigned ahead of the firm’s merger with Allen & Overy, Financial News can reveal.

McKimm has quit and will not be a part of the New York-headquartered law firm’s tie-up with Magic Circle peer A&O, according to a person familiar with the matter.
