Silver screen lures L&G Ventures in Warner Village deal

Legal & General Ventures has become the latest European private equity firm to snap up a cinema chain, teaming up with two US firms and management to buy the UK's Warner Village multiplexes for about £250m (€352m).

The sale from Warner Bros and Australia's Village Roadshow was led by SBC International Cinemas, which had a portfolio of six sites, four in the UK.
