Skandia profits down 75% in three months

Skandia, the troubled Swedish financial services firm, saw profits fall to Skr1.3bn (€142.6m) in the first three months of this year compared with Skr4.9bn in the three months to last December.

Last year's fourth quarter saw the departure of a number senior executives relating to a bonus and perks scandal, a police investigation in connection with those payments and difficulties in attracting board-level executives.
