Smith admits Izodia fraud

Gerald Smith has pleaded guilty to stealing more than £34m (€49.1m) from Izodia, three and a half years after the Serious Fraud Office launched an investigation into suspected fraud at the UK cash shell. He will be sentenced on May 25.

Yesterday he pleaded guilty to 10 counts of theft and one of false accounting at Blackfriars Crown Court.
