South Yorkshire pension fund quits NAPF

The £2.5bn (&euro4bn) South Yorkshire Pensions Authority has quit the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF), in the belief that it does not represent local authority pension funds effectively.

South Yorkshire's defection, revealed in its latest annual report, counters the determination of NAPF director-general David Cranston to build up its membership.
