Sovereign returns £36m to investors

Sovereign Capital, the mid-market private equity firm, has returned £36m (€52.4m) of its fund to investors after completing the recapitalisation of two of its portfolio companies.

Sovereign recapitalised Senad and Choice, two operators of residential schools and care homes. It enabled the companies to repay all of Sovereign's original equity investment of £20m. Sovereign's majority shareholding in these two businesses remains unchanged.
