Spanish banking head quits Deutsche

Alvaro de Remedios, head of Spanish investment banking at Deutsche Bank, has left to pursue other interests. De Remedios, who was a managing director, departed about a month ago. Colleagues said he would probably work on personal private equity and act as a corporate finance adviser to mid-cap companies in Spain.

José Falgas has taken over as head of Deutsche's investment banking operations in Madrid. De Remedios had been head of Spanish M&A at Deutsche before being promoted about three years ago. Ignacio Sarria now holds that role.
