$1m spent daily on establishing e-banking systems in 1999

European banks spent $1m a day implementing e-banking systems in 1999, according to a new report from Datamonitor,

The UK was Europe's largest investor in e-banking systems in 1999. Spending reached $99m as many High Street banks came on-line and operations such as Egg, First-e and Smile entered the scene.
