SSgA wins passive portfolio from BG

BG Group has set up a £250m (€410m) defined benefit pension scheme and has appointed State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) to run half of it.

SSgA beat Barclays Global Investors on the shortlist to win the £125m multi-asset passive portfolio portfolio. Some of these assets are overseas, and the UK energy supply group will reduce the currency risks by having SSgA run a £65m currency overlay.
