St James's Place drops Newton

The London wealth manager is overhauling its funds business and has handed US-based Artisan Partners a lucrative global equity mandate

UK-listed private client firm St James's Place has terminated Newton Investment Management as manager of a £900m global equity fund, amid a wider shake-up of its funds business.

Dan O'Keefe and David Samra at US-based Artisan Partners have replaced James Harries at Newton as manager of the SJP global trust.
