Standard Life Aberdeen puts Parmenion unit up for sale

Standard Life Aberdeen, the £512bn Edinburgh-headquartered fund manager, is set to announce to shareholders it is looking to sell Parmenion — the financial advisory business it acquired in 2016.

The potential sale comes only two months after Stephen Bird, a former Citigroup executive, took the reins as chief executive following the departure of ex-boss Keith Skeoch.
