Strength in US flotations raises a cheer at Citigroup

Bank has taken advantage of strong investor appetite for growth-oriented issues

Citigroup has taken advantage of the strong start to the year for US equity capital markets, topping the table for bookrunners on US-registered initial public offerings, ahead of UBS and Goldman Sachs.

Citigroup has served as underwriter on new issues with a combined value of $842m (€707m) in the year to February 15. This puts it ahead of UBS, with eight deals worth a combined $796m, in second place.
