Sun Life turns to Morgan Stanley

Canadian insurer Sun Life Financial has appointed an adviser to look at strategic options for its US money management unit, the oldest mutual fund company in the US with $163bn (€128.3bn) of assets under management.

Sun Life has hired Morgan Stanley to sell its money management division, MFS Investment Management. The unit could draw bids worth up to $4bn.
