Tech sector boosts Israeli buyout industry

Apax Partners' buyout of Israeli software company Paradigm gave a boost to buyout activity in the region

Buyout activity in Israel increased by nearly 50% in the first half of 2012 compared to the same period last year according to a new report, with the software sector the biggest driver.

In the first half of 2012 a total of 23 private equity deals worth an aggregate $1.75bn were completed in Israel, according a new report by data provider IVC Research and corporate law firm GKH.
