The Village

Hugh Brown, global head of corporate finance at PricewaterhouseCoopers, has convincingly demonstrated his relationship management skills by marrying a client at the weekend. The bride was Sarah Farrington of private equity firm 3i, which regularly hires PwC for advice on buy-outs. Brown's latest deal was clearly originated at PwC's offices, since Farrington was a colleague of his before she was poached earlier this year. Coverage of 3i is said to have intensified after she joined the firm. We wish the merger well.
