A work-from-home tax should be applied to those who can work remotely as they receive additional financial benefits from not going into the office, a Deutsche Bank economist has said.

The tax would be put towards supporting jobs for those who have been suddenly displaced, or key workers who cannot work remotely and earn a lower annual wage.
