Former surgeon Raj Shah draws on a lifetime’s experience in the medical sector in his role as co-head of Emea healthcare alongside Ben Thorpe. Thorpe has worked on private equity firm Terra Firma’s acquisition of Four Seasons Healthcare and Novartis on its acquisitions of Genoptix and Alcon. At a global level, Goldman is currently ranks first in Dealogic’s healthcare M&A rankings for the year to date, having advised on $17.9bn worth of deals, and is currently working on the $2.2bn acquisition of Danish firm Dako by the US’s Agilent Technologies.
