Senior staff at New Peak Capital Partners, the event-driven hedge fund set up by former Och-Ziff special situations head Massimo Bertoli, enjoyed a 63% hike in compensation in the 12 months to March 31, 2016 after profits doubled.

The Piccadilly-based hedge fund's latest accounts, filed at Companies House, showed that compensation for senior management totalled £4.6 million during the year, up from £2.8 million in the prior 12-month period.
