Towry Law International rapped by Hong Kong regulators

Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission has severely reprimanded Towry Law International, the financial adviser, for misselling a pair of locally-managed hedge funds.

The commission said it had restricted its disciplinary proceedings to a severe reprimand because Towry Law International, which is ultimately owned by HHG, the UK financial group, had agreed to make ex-gratia payments to clients who had lost money on the hedge funds.
