Trade of the Week: the Icap window

Investors had to move quickly to pocket gains on a 5% intra-day rise in the interdealer broker's stock this week

Although headlines featuring London-based broker Icap this week may have seemed far from rosy, investors in its stock still had a small window of opportunity to make some gains.

Shares of Icap rose almost 5.5% immediately after it was revealed on Wednesday that the company had been fined $87 million (around £55 million) by UK and US regulators over the London Interbank Offered Rate-fixing scandal.
