European Central Bank president Mario Draghi will find it easier to extend the bank’s €1.7 trillion quantitative-easing programme next month under a Donald Trump US presidency, analysts say.

ECB policymakers are preparing for a key meeting on December 8, where they are expected to decide on the future of their €80 billion-a-month bond-purchase programme, which is due to end in March.
