Tuckey in hot water again

Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, which employs Andrew Tuckey of Barings infamy as a senior adviser, must be groaning at the thought of more embarrassment. Five-and-a-half years after Nick Leeson brought down Barings, Tuckey - who was deputy chairman at the time - faces the music yet again.

This time action is being taken against him by the accountants' Joint Disciplinary Scheme, the self-regulatory body for the bean counters. Tuckey, who falls within its net as he qualified years ago as an FCA, faces anything from a fine to a reprimand, to a ban if a JDS tribunal finds he acted badly.
