New brokers on the block at LSE-owned dark pool

A new block-trading service at Turquoise has the backing of major brokers JP Morgan, Instinet and BAML

Turquoise, the equity market majority-owned by the London Stock Exchange, has set a date for the launch of its new block-trading facility and signed up three major brokers to use the service from day one.

The service, which will go live on October 20, is the latest in a series of upgrades to Turquoise's dark pool that were put in place to facilitate block trades and help traders avoid high-frequency trading firms.
