Two-thirds of asset managers say stocks are still in a bear market

Three-quarters of respondents to Bank of America's monthly fund manager survey also said they expect a U- or W-shaped economic recovery

Fund managers are dubious about the current stock-market rally, according to a survey released on 19 May.

More than two-thirds say the rally that has sent the S&P 500 up 32% from the lows of March is a “bear-market rally” rather than a new bull market, according to the Bank of America global fund manager survey. A quarter did say it was a bull market.
