‘Uber review’ is a missed opportunity on pensions

It makes no sense to exclude those working in the gig and self-employed economy from pensions

The Taylor Report into Good Work - billed as a review of the so-called "gig economy" - is a disappointment, from the perspective of making sure all workers have a decent pension.

Pensions occupies just one and half page of more than 100 in the document. Matthew Taylor does talk about what might be done - namely extending auto-enrolment – but there are no firm recommendations. It's a huge missed opportunity.
