UBS in line to buy €18bn French asset manager

UBS is reportedly one of the frontrunners to buy Caisse Centrale de Réescompte, the €18bn ($24bn) French asset management unit of Germany's Commerzbank.

Wealth-Bulletin.com, an online news service, reports the Swiss bank is among at least three bidders circling Caisse Centrale de Réescompte, which has a Paris-based private wealth management unit called CCR Chevrillon with around €800 million of assets under management.
