UK funds lag overseas rivals on independent board oversight

UK-domiciled funds are lagging behind their international rivals on a key corporate governance consideration: oversight from independent board members.

That is according to findings from consultancy Lane Clark and Peacock, which says that more than 50% of funds domiciled in the UK do not have any independent directors. That compares with 20% of funds domiciled overseas, according to LCP's fund governance survey, published today.
