UK investors unload bonds

UK institutional investors sold domestic government bonds to the tune of £7.8bn (€11.1bn) in the third quarter of 2004 and moved into UK and overseas equities as confidence in stock markets returned, according to the Office of National Statistics.

They also made significant moves out of foreign bond markets, with net sales of £4.6bn for the three months to the end of September.
