UK publishes details of post-Brexit immigration system

Salary limits are unlikely to overly trouble City employers, with investment bankers who want a UK visa having to earn more than £43,600

UK home secretary Priti Patel has published further details on the UK’s points-based immigration system, which will kick off once the country completes its EU-exit transition period on 1 January 2021 and departs from the union’s free-movement area.

The publication of the 132-page policy document on 13 July comes as the government launches a campaign to prepare businesses for post-Brexit travel and trade.
