UK quoted fund manager makes Canadian and UK acquisitions

Asset Management Investment Company (AMIC), a UK fund management holding company, has bought 100% of Toronto-based InterUnion Asset Management for C$10.5m (€8m) and put £750,000 (€1.2m) into Integrated Asset Management, which expects a UK listing by year-end.

AMIC, an investment trust listed on the London Stock Exchange, used New York lawyers Salans & Co as advisers on the InterUnion acquisition, with additional advice from a Canadian law firm and Canadian tax specialists.
