Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has had his assets frozen by the UK government, along with a curb on transactions with UK individuals, as part of broad measures following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

In a 10 March statement, the UK said the restrictions would also apply to Abramovich’s one-time business partner, Oleg Deripaska. A travel ban has also been imposed on the Russian businessmen, and they would also be prohibited from transacting with businesses in the UK.
