David Bonderman, president and founder of Texas Pacific Group, the US private equity firm, is embroiled in a spat with a workers' union at Continental Airlines, the US carrier.

Teamsters, the union representing the workers, has called for Bonderman's resignation from Continental's board of directors. The union says he has a conflict of interest because Texas Pacific has two board seats and a controlling interest in rival carrier America West.
