US corporates find favour with fund managers

Institutional investors have regained confidence in the US economy on the back of a more favourable outlook for corporate profits, according to the latest Merrill Lynch fund manager survey.

The prospects for US corporate profits are now perceived as second only to emerging markets by the 298 managers polled and the quality of earnings are thought to be second only to the UK.
