US investment code caves into global standard

The US-based Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR), has sounded the death knell to its performance presentation standard (AIMR-PPS).

The Global Investment Performance Standard (Gips), born out of US standard and the UK's National Association of Pension Funds pension code, has superseded its US forerunner which was developed to allow pension funds to compare fund managers fairly.
